The villa is designed to respond to the highly sloped site. Series of grouped programmatic massing are infused within the topographical layers: The service, the public, and the private. The defined strata take advantage of the irregularity of the site elevation to benefit the differing programmatic nature.
The architecture itself is a dialog between the roof and nature. Four pieces of gabled roof with varying axis, coordinate, and elevation is assembled and swept throughout the site to define the programmatic zone. The massing of interiorized boxes inhabit these defined zones to create spaces that are in between indoor – outdoor, interior – exterior, and nature – man-made.
